About Us

Mal has been a beef producer for some 30 years, he produces his own cattle on his farm “Jungaburra” in Huntly. He is now able to on sell his own cattle into the shop and onto the many restaurants, hotels, nursing homes and child care centres that we currently supply.

Mal has the ability to look at cattle in the yards and knows quality cattle when he sees it. This is a rare skill but in this line of work, a valuable and proven asset in adding value in providing quality meat.

With gaining his Butchery qualifications after purchasing the shop Mal and his team of 6 qualified butchers are dedicated to achieving the highest quality products and service to our customers each and every time

Meat Matters has received some outstanding results in the Regional Sausage King & Best Burger Competitions since 2009 and continue to keep producing award winning products.
